Citizen21 is Participating at the Expert Seminar on European Modules: Active Participation of Immigrants in all Aspects of Collective Life

5. april 2011 kl. 23:51

The seminar is taking place in Brussels, 7-8 April 2011, and is organised as a part of the project “European Modules on Migrant Integration”, which has as its goal to develop proposals for European Modules on Migrant Integration on three different topics:

1) introductory and language courses;

2) strong commitment by the host society; and

3) active participation of immigrants in all aspects of collective life.

The aim of this Expert Seminar is to identify the main challenges regarding the topic “active participation of immigrants in all aspects of collective life” and to share knowledge across the Member States of what works and what does not work in order to meet these challenges. This knowledge should be structured in the best possible way in order to support the role of the host society in the integration of third-country nationals all over the European Union. The seminar is organised in an interactive fashion in order to encourage participants to share their views and hands-on experiences with the other participants and to analyse how these can contribute to developing European modules.
